Carnival Cruise Line Streamlining Shore Excursion Ticket Process
Carnival Cruise Line is streamlining their shore excursion process.
Instead of paper tickets, guests will be able to use their sail & sign card to check in with shore excursion operators. Carnival’s HUB App will provide guests with digital confirmations, as well as in app notifications for meeting times and location information. Carnival is currently piloting this new innovative digital platform with select tour operators in The Bahamas and Caribbean after being integrated in Australia earlier this year.
“Our new ticketless platform prioritizes convenience for our guests and equips our tour operator partners with better tools, making the shore excursion experience more seamless, efficient and enjoyable,” said Sam Ackrill, vice president of shore excursions for Carnival Cruise Line. “Eliminating the need for physical tickets and streamlining the process of checking in for shore excursions will be a great benefit, but the real-time functionality that’s built into our platform will give tour operators more opportunities and guests more choices.”
They are also planning to have it available for all shore excursions at their new destination in The Bahamas, Celebration Key, when it opens in the summer. How do you feel about this new change? Let us know in the comments.
